Activating SMS/Text Banking

To use SMS TXT banking for your account you must first register your mobile phone on www.eaztrade.com.

To do this, log in to your account and select the follow­ing: “Profile > SMS/TXT Profile”, add your details and pick the options that suit your needs

·         Go to Online Banking

·         Click on SMS/ Mobile phone banking

·         Click on register a number

·         Enter your mobile telephone number

·         Select when you wish to be notified by SMS

·         Click on Submit

·         Done: You should receive a welcome SMS message

Member Rating Policy

Member Rating is a service that we provide to encourage ethical conduct by all EazTrade members.  

Some exceptional circumstances will result in Rating Comments being edited or removed. Ratings will remain a permanent part of your EazTrade record. Since you can be held legally responsible for Rating Comments posted and for damages to another member's reputation under Namibian law, you must ensure that your comments are factual and fair.

EazTrade may edit or remove comments that breach our terms and conditions like those that:

·        In the opinion of EazTrade contain:

§  swear or vulgar words;

§  defamatory statements as to the character of any individual;

§  a member's contact details, phone number, surname, email address or other means to individually identify the member

·        the member posting the comments has been removed from EazTrade for any reason

·        refer to any ongoing investigation by EazTrade, the police, or any other authorised party

·        EazTrade is ordered by any Court of law.

 

Privacy Policy

Code of Conduct

This code sets out the principles and behaviour expected of Members participating in EazTrade transactions.

Basic Principles: Members must at all times:

  • Conduct themselves honestly and in good faith
  • Comply with all laws, including sale of goods and intellectual property laws
  • Comply with EazTrade's Terms and Conditions as published on it's website

Sellers must:

  • Describe items fully and accurately
  • Ensure that goods are sold free of any security interest
  • In the case of an auction, not attempt to influence the bidding process by directly or through an agent, bidding to drive up the sale price, or in any other way
  • Answer questions promptly
  • Respond to emails promptly and in all cases within two working days
  • Ensure items are shipped promptly and in all cases within two days of receipt of payment
  • Charge fair and reasonable amounts for shipping and wherever possible state shipping costs in listings
  • Not place negative feedback without endeavouring to ensure factual accuracy and to resolve any issues by email first
  • Not engage in feedback of a retaliatory, defamatory or rude nature
  • Not spam or in any way harass previous buyers

Buyers must:

  • Respond to emails promptly and in all cases within two working days
  • Pay for goods purchased promptly and in all cases, within one week of receipt of payment details
  • Not place negative feedback without endeavouring to ensure factual accuracy and to resolve any issues by email first
  • Not engage in feedback of a retaliatory, defamatory or rude nature
  • Not spam or in any way harass previous sellers

Professional traders must:

  • Comply with all relevant laws
  • Ensure goods are safe, of acceptable quality, and fit for the purposes intended and draw attention to any defects
  • Act responsibly and promptly fix any product faults for which it is liable or offer a replacement or refund

SMS/Text Banking

Mobile phone / SMS/TEXT banking provides yet another way for you to conduct transactions and monitor scheduled transactions to your account regardless of your location.

Mobile phone banking allows you to send or receive SMS/TEXT messages direct from/to your mobile phone if you have no access to internet. You can:

  • Check your account balance
  • Pay your Supplier or fees owing on your account
  • Transfer funds to another account
  • Receive messages when paid by SMS/TEXT mes­sages, Online Banking, or Phone Banking
  • Receive reminders for upcoming events, trading opportunities or fees due.

 

Example: Using SMS/TXT Banking to access your account

 

1.    Select a message option e.g. to transfer funds to another member’s account the option is:

 

T< Amount>R<Receiver account number>P<Password>

 

2.    To transfer N$500 credit funds to a member with the account number 00012 first select the suitable local access number to send an SMS to the EazCard system.

3.    Then select the option to send TXT messages from your mobile phone

4.    You can type the following SMS TXT message on your mobile phone:

5.    T 500 R 00012 P 4321 and select the SEND option

6.    Enter the local access number to send the message

7.    You will then receive a confirmation response for the transfer or payment
